JOB OVERVIEW
To establish and develop online relationships and engage with social voices / communities for
promotional campaigns, and provide a full administrative service to the Marketing and Employer
Liaison section, to enhance the community wide and national reputation of the college.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILTIES
1. To actively monitor and engage with all forms of Social Media (e.g. FaceBook, Twitter, etc) to
support Company wide activities.
2. To collate/source information from cross-company sources in order to generate news-worthy
stories and then draft/write online copy for articles, blogs and social media.
3. To act as one of the key points of contact for social media queries, developing a response
process, engaging with potential and existing students and looking to proactively influence
these groups and resolving any arising issues.
4. To ensure data capture to the company CRM from various sources (web, events – schools/open
evenings, etc), track campaign effectiveness and providing feedback to support CRM activity.
5. To support the Marketing Manager in delivering publicity and general marketing campaigns,
raising the profile of the Company across a wide range of specialist and general media and with
the production of the Company's on-line marketing communications.
6. Maximise direct marketing opportunities utilising e-mail, web-based and conventional mailings
to publicise established and new areas of work.
7. Assist with the organization of Company promotional activities within Company, the community and
via liaison with local businesses both on site and elsewhere.
8. Update the Company website, press and image archive as required.
9. Update publicity databases to ensure that they represent an effective marketing resource
10. To work flexibly and carry out additional roles within the company as may be agreed from time
to time.
